Hello July! Hello Summer! As we head into the 'official' Summer months, we wanted to use this month's members' blog to give you two main updates. Our new branded app. We believe that the "digital experience" is very much part of what we do here - and ensuring the your 'in gym' and workout experience is complemented with ensuring we're always doing our best to communicate with everyone, and keep you up to date with everything going on. Firstly, if you've already downloaded and using our new branded Innovate App (instead of the old GoTeamUp one), you should this morning, have received a bunch of notifications about all sorts of upcoming events. Please log in now and have a look at your home screen - we've added categories for all the upcoming events (of which there are plenty!) You'll see that we've really been working hard to give you a full outlook of the next 3 months (so if there's a speciality class you love but struggled to get on previously, you can set your alarm for one minute past midnight on the day that registration goes live 😛 ) As a slight spoiler.
Secondly, we’re also going to be moving our Friday ‘newsletter’ from email to an article in the app. Data shows us that less than a third of that Friday email gets delivered or opened, so we’re wanting to try centralise as many of our ‘broadcasts’ as possible, into one single app that you use for working with us :) If you’ve not downloaded and started using it yet (to REPLACE the Goteamup app including for booking classes)……. please do so - otherwise you will miss out on an increasing amount of updates, news and comms from us. Click this link for iPhone Click this link for Android We also STRONGLY recommend having your notifications for the app turned on so you don't miss any latest Any questions whatsoever, please just grab Craig in the gym :-) PS There’s also some really positive news from the developer on workout tracking, which we’re aiming to roll out to Sisters of Steel members in the near future :) Coaching Corner
Why your warm-up matters Every Innovate session starts with a warm-up—and for good reason. A well-designed warm-up gradually raises your heart rate, increases blood flow to your muscles, and prepares your joints and nervous system for the movements ahead. This helps you move more efficiently, produce more power, improve coordination, and often perform better throughout the session. It can also reduce stiffness, making exercises feel smoother and more comfortable from the very first set. Your warm-up is also a chance to check in with your body. Feeling tight? A little sore? Spotting those things early allows you to make small adjustments before the workout gets underway. That’s why we encourage everyone to arrive on time. It’s not just about the session starting together—it’s about giving yourself the best opportunity to perform well, reduce the risk of injury, and get the most from every workout. A great workout doesn’t start with the first exercise. It starts with a great warm-up. ___________________________ We appreciate you all for placing your trust in us with your health and fitness :) Team Innovate #BeMore
