Before we worry about the tech (which is stupidly easy to use by the way), if you're a current member, you need to register for the class the same way you'd register for an in-gym class, on GoTeamUp.
(note: this isn't essential, but it can help with feeling in the habit of booking classes like in the "real" world:)

Ok, lets get you set up for the future of fitness !

​You're going to use a free app called 'Zoom'.

Go to https://zoom.us/ (<< you can click that link by the way)
Click "sign up" - in the top right -  it’s free! 
Super important: Enter your full, REAL name (this is important as this is what the coach will see when you login to your workout. 
Enter your email address. 
Wait a minute or so. 
Go to your inbox & open the email sent from zoom & click activate / follow instructions.

Next you're going to decide if you want to use your phone, tablet or laptop for how you join in with your online workouts.

And that, is it.
That's ALL you need to be ready to rock and roll!

When you want to join a class, you simple click the link of workout (there's a list below, but it'll also be emailed to you about an hour before your workout) and when you do that, it'll open up the phone/ipad/laptop app - and you're good to go.

What you'll NEED at your workout

  • If you have a weight, like a Kettlebell or a Dumbbell, great.
    If not, you can grab anything that can be used as a bit of weight (think grocery items or bottles of water filled up!). ANYTHING will do and something is always better than nothing (<-- great rule for life in general).

  • Clear a space - only about 1 metre squared. Enough to be able to lunge back and forth, and of course, everyone needs room for a burpees or two ;-)

  • You might want to use a mat for floor work - but not essential.

  • Make sure you have water to hand - and a towel for mopping you sweaty brow!

  • Critical:
    Have your own music on.
    ​Unlike a gym session, the coach won't play music - this is because it causes audio feedback into everyone else's phone or laptop.
    It also means you don't have to put up with some of the horrendous music choices of the coaches :-p

  • Please sign in via the Zoom link (these are all listed below on this page), a few minutes before the session starts.
    note: If you try to sign in too early, the coach may not have made the session "live" yet, and you'll just get a blank screen.

  • Make sure your camera is switched on (phone or laptop camera) - this is to the Coach can see you whilst you work out.
    And importantly, position your phone or laptop so that the camera is looking at ALL of you, where you'll be working out (not pointing to the ceiling). Don't be shy! The whole point of this is the Coach can see you working out, encourage you and correct your form!

  • When you join the session, you'll be "unmuted" - this means if you talk, everyone can hear you. You'll be able to say "hi" to your coach:-).
    When the workout begins, your Coach will "mute" you and run through the warm up, the explanation of the workout, the workout itself, and the cool down. They'll be watching you on their screen every second, keeping an eye for good form and plenty of effort!

    We cannot reiterate enough - all of this is super simple once you start clicking things :)

'zoom' links for your online workouts

REMINDER:
When you register for a workout on GoTeamUp (the booking system) you'll get an email 1 hour before the workout starts.
That email will contain a Zoom link to click to be able to access that day's workout.
Incase you don't get it - or forget - or get lost - here's a list of them all :)
